I was at work all morning, I had time to check my email, but not to share the news, which was so hard and I think I might have concerned a couple of people with my wide-eye grin.

Obviously, authors love all their books equally, but sometimes one idea just stands a little taller over the others.

For me, that’s Small Forgotten Moments – which started life, if you recall, as a completely different story with a completely different title. Jo, the main character, and the portrait which comes to life, are the only things that were transposed from the original story to make this brand spanking new novel.

Currently it’s only available on Kindle, because I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing – but if I figure it out, I’ll make it available in more places soon. If not, you only have three weeks to wait until it’s out in the world.

This is a refresh/rerelease of my 2012 novella, with a couple of new scenes, at least 2000 more words, and a snazzy new cover.

2012 was the year of the London Olympics, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and Manchester City winning the Premier League in a nail-biting race to the final whistle (and my race across town to find a venue showing the second half when the pub we were in switched to the Man United game at half-time).
