The observant among you will note that I’ve changed my blogging day to Monday. When I decided I’d post a series of interviews, I was going to do them on the third Monday of each month but continue posting around the Thursday/Friday as well. I realised that was a little unfair on my interviewees because their posts would only be front and centre for a couple of days.
So now, it’s every Monday, with a vague plan for each of them – the schedule is on the sidebar, mostly so I don’t forget what I’m supposed to be doing!
Today is the 4th Monday of August, so I suppose I’m reviewing my month now…
#1 son turned 21, and #2 passed his GCSEs and is ready for the 6th form – such a relief after all the government shenanigans going on in the week prior to it.
I finished the draft of my next book (well, the one after next), and then discovered notes for a whole plot point I’d forgotten about – I plan to get back to it after Christmas, and can’t wait to add those new elements into it. #1 son recorded me reading from Grace & Serenity twice, because I messed it up the first time – I’m awaiting his editing genius to make me look good.
And, as always, I took far too many pictures of my gorgeous pup ๐

How has your August been?
Hi Annalisa – congratulations to your two boys … and just enjoy having them around while life takes it course – painful though it may be. Not helped by the shenanigans – I so agree … what a mish-mash of government – not at all helpful. Well done on the writing – even if you have to add that plot point in … take care – enjoy your pup and the boys … and take care – all the best – Hilary

Thanks Hilary. It is lovely to have everyone around me, and to know they’re safe.

Congrats to your sons and to you for finishing your draft. That’s always such a feeling of a load lifted once you get all the way through, isn’t it.

Through my draft, or through their childhoods? ๐ (Sorry, I’m always more facetious after my first cup of tea in the morning!) Although, both have been challenging and rewarding in their own ways!

Well done on your draft. The book after next – sounds like you’ve got plenty of stuff in the pipeline, which is exciting!
Congrats to both your boys. I’m sure it was an anxious time for anyone waiting on results with all the comings and goings, so I’m glad you had good news there.

It was so awful, lots of uncertainties! I hope you’re well Nick, thanks for stopping by.

Aww, your dog is so cute! Life is better with a dog, in my opinion. I plan to adopt one once I save enough money to cover the expenses that come with a dog.
