I’m still busy querying my novel, gearing up to write a new one (I’m planning another month-long blitz, so I’ve been jotting down the most random of ideas in preparation), and submitting a couple of short stories to competitions. Congratulations to Chrys and good luck to you on your writing! I like flash fiction. I took a writing workshop on it once and was fascinated at the idea of telling an entire story in just a few paragraphs. It’s almost like poetry.

Flash fiction really makes you think about each word you use, a great exercise even if you don’t want to publish that length. Poetry is a good comparison – the best ones almost sing.
